Spray paint art is classically glossy and smooth but you can also use the techniques to create some beautiful textures that you can feel with your finger and that look cool on your painting.  One way to create texture is to apply thick layers of paint and use the palette knife to move the paint around. You can see the texture in this dragon.

In the series of lessons that I’m currently filming, I’m going to explore texture and finish (glossy, matte, etc.) and presentation. This is important if you want to take advantage of the unique qualities of spray paint art techniques to communicate and to create an artistic experience. There’s more to come about this in the future!
