Painting snow with spray paint art is really fun because you can use just tiny amounts of paint and drag it around with newspaper to magically create the shadows and highlights of the snowdrifts.
There are so many semi-random techniques to make the snow and the ground and bushes that you can meditatively paint snow scenes to your heart’s content.
When painting snow, it’s important to consider shadows and highlights. Even though the color of the shadows depends on the time of day, I find that transparent blue works most of the time and gives a nice cool sensation to the viewer.
